I grew up in a small coastal town with an endless ocean, but with limited land and very few farms. The closest I came to agriculture was in my grandmother's garden, or exploring cranberry bogs and picking wild blueberries. I was introduced to farming about 9 years ago and I have been weeding carrots, thinning beets, making flower bouquets and packing CSA boxes ever since.
I have had the great luck of working with some incredible growers within a variety of different scales and farm systems. This has allowed me many hours to contemplate my own farm dreams. This farm is the first incarnation of my dream. I am sure it will change as each season passes, but for now it brings me such happiness as it is: a small farm of cut flowers, my cattle dog at my feet, beauty and wildness all around.
